Keynote

Dr. Olalla Vázquez

Professor of Chemical Biology, Philipps-Universität Marburg — Germany

Full Professor of Chemical Biology at Philipps-Universität Marburg (SYNMIKRO). Her research focuses on chemical biology approaches to nucleic acid recognition and RNA-templated reactions for therapeutic applications. After research stays at Harvard University and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, she was promoted to Full Professor in 2023, and has been recognized with several international awards in chemical biology.

Keynote

Dr. Marion Jasnin

Principal Investigator, Helmholtz Pioneer Campus, Helmholtz Munich — Germany

Expert in in situ cryo-electron tomography, using state-of-the-art approaches including cryo-focused ion beam milling and advanced image processing to visualize actin filament architectures directly inside cells. Her research aims to uncover the structural principles underlying actin-based force generation and cytoskeletal organization across scales. After training in physics and biophysics in Grenoble, she conducted postdoctoral research at the Institut Laue-Langevin and the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry, before joining the Helmholtz Pioneer Campus in 2022.

Keynote

Dr. Alexandre M.J.J. Bonvin

Professor of Computational Structural Biology, Utrecht University — Netherlands

Professor of Computational Structural Biology at Utrecht University and scientific director of the Bijvoet Centre for Biomolecular Research. He specializes in integrative approaches to model biomolecular interactions at atomic resolution, combining bioinformatics, structural data, and biophysical experiments. Notably known for developing HADDOCK for modeling biomolecular complexes, his work supports applications such as rational drug design.

Panelist

Marion Mathélié-Guinlet

Researcher, CBMN — CNRS / Université de Bordeaux / Bordeaux INP

Researcher at the CBMN, investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying bacterial virulence. An expert in atomic force microscopy, she studies how bacterial toxins self-assemble and interact with cell membranes. Awarded an ERC Starting Grant 2024, she leads the PUMBA project on the role of peptide assemblies in the pathogenicity of Staphylococcus aureus, paving the way for new therapeutic strategies against antibiotic resistance.
